Jools Holland presents the opening night of the Viva La Divas Festival

LOUISE MARSHALL

Currently a featured singer with Jool Holland's Rhythm and Blues Orchestra Louise has also worked with Beverley Knight, Michael Ball, Marti Pellow, Chris Difford, Robbie Williams, Bryan Ferry, Ronnie Wood, Lulu, Van Morrison, Eric Stewart, Madeline Bell, Sheila Ferguson, Ruby Turner, Jools Holland and his Rhythm Orchestra, Sam Brown, Bryan Adams, Trijntje Oosterhuis, Russell Watson, Steve Winwood, Heather Small, Emma Bunton, Paul Young, Martine McCutcheon, Vinnie Jones, Don Blackman, Edwin Starr, Solomon Burke, Karl Jenkins and John Rutter.

She has performed in London's West End in 'Jesus Christ Superstar' (Lyceum Theatre), 'Whistle Down the Wind' (Aldwych Theatre), 'The Genius of Ray' (Haymarket) and with 'Soul Train' on the first UK tour. 'Hair' (choreographed by Anthony Van Laast), The Music of 'Queen' and 'Abba' has allowed her to work throughout Scandinavia and Iceland with West End International.

In 2006, Louise was singing with Beverley Knight supporting 'Take That' throughout their UK Tour, singing and playing keyboards with 'Roxy Music' on their European Tour in July and joined 'The Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Band' as a soloist on their Winter Tour along with Ruby Turner and has sung backing vocals for Lulu, Marc Almond and this Summer, Dave Edmunds.

 

LIANE CARROLL

Liane is one of the UK's top jazz stars and an electrifying performer who sings with tremendous passion and joie de vivre accompanying herself with formidable piano technique. Her latest album "Up and Down" has just won the best CD of the year at the prestigious Paliamentary Jazz Awards Dave Gelly wrote in The Observer "Some musicians are talented, some brilliant and a few just seem to be made out of music. Liane Carroll is one of these. Every phrase she sings sounds unstudied, fresh and somehow inevitable."

 

Georgina Jackson

GEORGINA JACKSON

Georgina is the featured singer with the Ronnie Scott's Big Band and the BBC Big Band. Her latest album "Watch What Happens" has just been released and its opening track "Change Partners" recently hit number one in the iTunes download chart. She will be returning to Boisdale Canary Wharf on Tuesday the 18th of September to present her brand new show Peggy, Duke and Benny featuring the music of Peggy Lee, Duke Ellington and Benny Goodman. She is also a first call trumpet player and has performed in numerous West End shows including Chicago and The Rat Pack.
